One word that describes this beautiful day in a nutshell is, joy. Pure joy. From the first conversation I had with Molly & Tom to the last second of their wedding day there was nothing but joy and positivity brought to the process.

Not even an unexpected hail storm in the middle of June couple stop the smiles on their face.

On June 29, 2019 M&T tied the knot at the beautiful USNA Chapel surrounded by 350 friends and family members, followed by a waterfront Whitehall reception. The day kicked off with each party getting ready in private homes right outside the gates of the Academy where Molly and Tom met. Meanwhile their expansive tent and bistro lit cocktail hour at Whitehall were well under way with some of my favorite details to date. Refined, clean, classic with vase greens and French blue accents carried an elegant yet relaxed vibe from start to finish. All of the details were signed, sealed, delivered, then we looked up.

Just as soon as the guests started to roll through the mansion and into the cocktail hour, the darkest rain clouds I think the AME team has ever experienced opened up. Hail, powerful winds, rain, tornado warning, right in the middle of cocktails. Our team adapted and rallied around this amazing group of guests. Their 22 piece band started playing and immediately got guests on the dance floor. Appetizers were moved in, and guests were as joyous as they ever could be in the sunshine. We covered the furnishings just in time to keep them safe, and were able to open up the center alley for post-dinner hangs. The best part about this? Molly, Tom and their families coming into the space all smiles and just happy to be there.

We continued to produce the wedding without a hitch, and the result is one of my favorite wedding memories to date. One of my favorite personal details are those custom service trays with their names as written on their invitation suite. Carrying the vision from start to finish. At the end of the night, Molly’s only request was to have McDonald’s french fries. The catering staff served the fries in these custom pieces and the guests absolutely loved it! I could share so many of my favorite moments, but I will let the photos do the talking. Molly and Tom, thank you for allowing us to bring your wedding dream to life. It was an honor to serve you!
