Featured earlier this Spring on Brides, I just had to share some of my favorite moments of this wedding. It is safe to say, this is just one of those weddings that is unforgettable for so many reasons. Julia and Peter are two driven, and powerfully in love people that extend not only to each other but to all those around them. As Peter so beautifully stated himself, “Julia, you are like an orbit and everyone loves being around you.” This is not only true for her, but to them as a whole.

Their wedding weekend was a five day affair at the beautiful Brittland Manor in Chestertown, with a different party each day that kept getting better and better. Of course, all leading up to their wedding day which was a breathtaking “Garden meets Gatsby” affair. On August 26, 2017 they married in Maryland’s First Methodist Church. After their nuptials, they were showered in rose petals to send them off to their lovely reception to follow. Guests followed them to their cocktail hour at Brittland where they were greeted with bubble and escorted to the pool side and gardens. After, guests strolled through the rose gardens to the tent where calligraphy escort cards on a beautiful vintage mirror guided them to their seats.

The reception space was the perfect garden elegance made of cascading greens from crystal chandeliers, gold flatware, red silk ribbon detailing, and summer white blooms. They danced the night away on a custom black and white dance floor that centered the room.

And don’t forget the champagne tower that followed the cake cutting. 

This is a wedding I will never forget. Julia and Peter, thank you for having me plan by your side and design your dream wedding. It was a true honor.
