Hilary reached out to me just before the year mark of their Fall 2017 wedding. She and Chris were planning from California for their Naval Academy Chapel ceremony and reception to follow at the rustically beautiful Hemlock Farm. The decision to get married in Annapolis was an easy one. The USNA Chapel is so beautiful, and has special meaning for Chris after graduating from the Academy. To keep our special day balanced with both elegance rustic elements, they chose Hemlock Farm as the reception site. There is just something about a little red barn in the middle of a field that fulfilled all of their wedding dreams!

When we first started chatting about all the details, I knew we were meant to be. Hilary had a vision that was truly unique and a creative approach to the grounds they selected. Think industrial meets vintage, all while being slightly rustic and romantic. We achieved this look with a clear top tent, seriously beautiful true vintage pieces, farm tables, a classic black and white dance floor, and center pieces made by the bride herself. They were deep in color and complimented by vintage table top items that were collected by family members throughout the planning process. But details aside, this wedding was so heart felt and FUN! My two favorite parts of their evening were when Hilary surprised her groom with a Navy goat we got from a local petting zoo. And their lip sink battle! Yes you read that correctly. It was simply amazing and something that their guests will remember forever.
